Did you perform the Instrument Cluster System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the PCM connector C1.
  3. Connect a fused jumper from the PCM connector C1 cavity 36 to ground.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Does the VOLTS indicator light?

Inspect CKT 25 (BRN) for an open or high resistance.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Go to Step 7

Inspect the PCM connector C2 for proper contact.

Was a poor connection found?

Inspect connector C200 cavity C4 for proper terminal contact.

Was a poor connection found?

Replace the instrument cluster.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 25 (BRN). Refer to Repairing Damaged Wire Insulation in Wiring Systems.
