Tools Required

J 28467-360 Engine Support Fixture

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the front lower splash shield.
3. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Install the J 28467-360 .



6. Remove the supercharger belt.
7. Remove the ignition module.
8. Remove the supercharger belt tensioner.
9. Remove the drive belt.
10. Remove the front engine mount.
11. Remove the power steering pump. Set the pump aside. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Power Steering Systems.



12. Remove the engine mount bracket.
13. Remove the idler pulley/bracket bolts.
14. Remove the idler pulley/bracket.

1. Install the idler pulley/bracket.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the idler pulley/bracket bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the idler/pulley bracket bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

3. Install the engine mount bracket.
4. Install the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Power Steering Systems.
5. Install the front engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement .



6. Install the drive belt.
7. Install the supercharger belt tensioner.
8. Install the ignition module.
9. Install the supercharger belt.
10. Remove the J 28467-360 .
11. Refill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
