The sunroof switch controls the position of the sunroof. The sunroof panel may be slid open or closed.

When the sunroof switch is moved to the OPEN position, power is sent to the sunroof motor. When the sunroof panel reaches the VENT position, the following actions occur:

    • The vent stop limit switch closes.
    • The soft stop limit switch opens.
    • The sunroof control module removes power from the sunroof motor.

When the switch is pressed again and released, the sunroof control module enters the express mode. The sunroof panel opens to the full open position until the sunroof switch is pressed again. When the sunroof is in the full open position, the following components are in the open position:

    • The vent stop switch
    • The soft stop limit switch

When the sunroof switch is moved to the CLOSE position, the sunroof panel closes until one of the following actions occurs:

    • The sunroof switch is released.
    • The fully closed position is achieved.

When the sunroof is in the fully closed position, the following conditions exist:

    • The vent stop limit switch is in the open position.
    • The soft stop limit switch is in the closed position.

The sunroof automatically stops at the fully open or closed position when the sunroof approaches from the vent or the sliding position.
