Removal Procedure

    Notice: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.

  1. Raise the hood.
  2. Tape the edges of the fender in order to protect the fender from scratching.
  3. Remove the splash shield from the front wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement .
  4. Remove the front wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Wheelhouse Rear .
  5. Remove the bumper fascia from the front fender. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .

  7. Remove the front brace bolt (2) from the front fender.

  8. Object Number: 276950  Size: SH
  9. Remove the bolt (2) that retains the rear center bracket on the front fender to the front fender.

  10. Object Number: 276955  Size: SH
  11. Remove the front fender lower bolts (2).

  12. Object Number: 276929  Size: SH
  13. Remove the front fender upper bolts (1).
  14. Remove the front fender (2).

  15. Object Number: 276927  Size: SH
  16. Remove the rear center bracket nut (1) from the front fender.

  17. Object Number: 276925  Size: SH
  18. Remove the bolts (1) that retains the rear center bracket on the front fender to the body.
  19. Remove the rear center bracket (2) from the front fender.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 276925  Size: SH
  1. Install the rear center bracket (2) to the front fender.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolt (1) that retains the rear center bracket on the front fender to the body. (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten bracket to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the rear center bracket nut (1) to the front fender.

  6. Object Number: 276929  Size: SH
  7. Install the front fender (2).
  8. Install the front fender upper bolts (1).
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  10. Install the front fender lower bolts (2).
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  12. Install the bolt  (2) that retains the rear center bracket on the front fender to the front fender.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  14. Install the front brace bolt (2) to the front fender.
  15. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  16. Install the bumper fascia to the front fender. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  17. Install the front wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Wheelhouse Rear .
  18. Install the splash shield to the front wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement .
