Verify proper operation of all of the turn lamps.

Do all of the turn lamps operate properly?

Repair any inoperative turn lamps. Refer to Turn Signal Lamps Inoperative - Hazard Lamps Operate .

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect terminal A8 of the body control module (BCM) connector C2. Refer to the following procedures:
  2. •  Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System
  3. Disconnect terminal D of turn/headlamp switch assembly connector C2.
  4. Disconnect the hazard switch.
  5. Use the J 39200 Digital Multimeter (DMM) in order to measure the resistance in CKT 16 between terminal A8 of BCM connector C2 and terminal D of turn/headlamp assembly harness connector C2.

Does the resistance measure within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 5

Replace the BCM. Refer to the following procedures:

    •  Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System
    •  Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 16 between terminal A8 of BCM connector C2 and terminal D of the turn/headlamp switch assembly. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
