Did you perform the Interior Lamps System Check?

  1. Open the appropriate front door.
  2. Remove the inoperative courtesy lamp bulb.
  3. Use a J 39200 DMM in order to measure the resistance between the B terminal of the courtesy lamp connector and ground.

Does the resistance measure within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 3

Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between the A terminal of the courtesy lamp connector and ground.

Does the voltage measure at the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Use the J 39200 DMM in order to backprobe the left IP junction block connector C2 and measure the resistance between the C3 terminal and ground.

Does the resistance measure within the specified range?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 9

Replace the inoperative courtesy lamp.

Is the repair complete?

Use the J 39200 DMM in order to backprobe the left IP junction block C1 connector and measure the voltage between the E9 connector and ground.

Is the voltage measured to the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in CKT 1732 between the left IP junction block and the courtesy lamp connector. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the left IP junction block. Refer to Relay/Fuse Center Replacement in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 156 between the left IP junction block and the courtesy lamp. Refer to Relay/Fuse Center Replacement in Wiring Systems.
