Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

    2. Object Number: 187379 Size: SH
  2. Remove the retractor side belt bolt (5).
  3. Remove the guide adjuster cover (3) from the shoulder belt.
  4. Remove the anchor bolt from the retractor side belt.
  5. Remove the cover from the shoulder belt guide track (2).
  6. Remove the shoulder belt guide track (1).
  7. Remove the retractor side belt bolt (6).
  8. Remove the shoulder belt guide (7).
  9. Lift and pull the retractor in order to disengage the retractor.
  10. Remove the retractor side belt (4).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 187379 Size: SH

    Important: Remove any twists in the seat belt webbing before final assembly.

  1. Install the retractor side belt.
  2. Insert the top of the retractor into the mounting slots and pull down.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the retractor side belt bolt (6).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the retractor side belt bolt to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  4. Install the shoulder belt guide (7).
  5. Install the shoulder belt guide track (1).
  6. Install the cover (2) to the shoulder belt guide track .
  7. Install the retractor side belt bolt.
  8. Inspect the shoulder belt guide adjuster cover (3) for broken tabs. Replace the cover if the tabs are broken.
  9. Install the guide adjuster cover (3) to the shoulder belt .
  10. Install the retractor side belt bolt (5).

    11. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  11. Install the center pillar lower trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  12. Install the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  13. Test the seat belt assembly for proper operation. Refer to Operational and Functional Checks .
