A misaligned column

1. Inspect the following components:

•	The column

•	Verify that the alignment is correct.

•	The mounting

•	The bearings

2. Adjust , repair and/or replace the components as needed.

A deformed or improperly installed shaft seal

1. Inspect for proper installation.
2. Reseat the seal.
3. Tighten the seal to specifications.
4. Replace the seal as needed.

A tight intermediate shaft universal joint

Clean, inspect and replace as needed.
