Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 378093  Size: SH
  1. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp.
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct from the air cleaner assembly.

  3. Object Number: 102396  Size: SH
  4. Remove the upper air cleaner cover screws.

  5. Object Number: 102397  Size: SH
  6. Remove the upper air cleaner cover (1).
  7. Remove the air cleaner filter (2) from the lower air cleaner housing (3).
  8. Inspect the air cleaner filter for the following conditions:
  9. • Dust
    • Dirt
    • Water
  10. Replace if required. Refer to Explanation of Scheduled Services in Maintenance and Lubrication.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 102397  Size: SH
  1. Install the air cleaner filter (2) into the lower air cleaner housing (3).
  2. Install the upper air cleaner cover (1) to the lower air cleaner housing (3).

  3. Object Number: 102396  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the upper air cleaner cover screws
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the upper air cleaner cover screws to 3 N·m (26 lb in).

  6. Install the air cleaner outlet duct to the air cleaner assembly.

  9. Tighten
    Tighten the upper air cleaner cover screws to 3 N·m (26 lb in).
