Engine Oil Pressure Sensor and/or Switch Replacement Engine Oil Pressure Switch

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 82225  Size: SH
  1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
  2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in general information.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure sensor.
  4. Remove the engine oil pressure sensor.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 82225  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the engine oil pressure sensor.
  2. Tighten
    The oil pressure sensor to 16 N·m(12 in lbs.)

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure sensor.
  4. Lower the vehicle.

Engine Oil Pressure Sensor and/or Switch Replacement Engine Oil Level Switch

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 16126  Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Drain the engine oil.
  3. Remove the electrical connector from the Engine Oil Level Switch.
  4. Remove the Engine Oil Level Switch from the oil pan.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the Engine Oil Level Switch.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the switch to 17-27 N·m (13-20 lb ft).

  3. Connect the electrical connector.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Add engine oil to the correct level.
