Refer to Secondary Wiring in Ignition System Description for an illustration of the cable routing.

Route the cables correctly, and through the proper retainers. Unlock the retainers carefully. Routing the cables improperly can lead to the following conditions:

    • Radio ignition noise
    • Cross-firing of the plugs
    • The leads shorting to ground

The silicone spark plug boots form a tight seal on the plug.

Important: Turn the boot ½-turn while removing.
