Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 183439  Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  2. Remove the transmission oil cooler lines (4) from the radiator.
  3. Remove the transmission oil cooler line bracket bolt (2) from the transmission (1).
  4. Remove the transmission oil cooler lines from the vehicle (5).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the transmission oil cooler lines (4) to the transmission (1).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the transmission cooler line bracket bolt (2) to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  3. Install the transmission oil cooler lines (4) to the radiator (5).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the transmission cooler line bracket pipe fittings (2) to 20-40 N·m (15-30 lb ft).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Check fluid level.
