Voltage for system operation is supplied when the ignition switch is in the ACCY and RUN positions and during retained accessory power (RAP) system operation. For additional information on the RAP operation refer to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) Circuit Description . Voltage is provided through the STR WHL RDO IGN fuse 18 and CKT 801 (DK GRN). The ground path for system operation is provided by the radio.

Voltage for the illumination of the steering wheel controls is supplied when the headlamp switch is in the PARK postion or the HEAD position. Lamp intensity is controlled by the instrument panel dimmer switch. Voltage is provide through the STR WHL ILLUM fuse 6 and CKT 1244 (BRN). CKT 1850 (BLK) provides the ground path to G200 and G201.

Analog voltage signals are supplied to the radio by the actuation of the following buttons:

    • Volume up
    • Volume down
    • Mute
    • Seek up
    • Seek down
    • Preset

The signal path is provided through CKT 1796 (DK BLU).
