Important: This test assumes that the bulb has been checked and is not the cause of the failure. The ground circuit is not diagnosed here. A poor ground would result in multiple failures. If any other symptoms are present refer to Exterior Lights System Check .

Inspect the LT TURN fuse in the underhood fuse block.

Is the fuse open?

Go to Step 7

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Do not start the engine.
  2. Move the turn signal switch to the LEFT TURN position.
  3. Inspect the voltage at the test point on the LT TURN fuse.

Is voltage present?

Battery Voltage

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1414 (LT BLU/WHT).

Is the repair complete?

Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) between the left park and turn signal lamp connector terminal A and ground.

Is voltage present?

Battery Voltage

Go to Intermittents and Poor Connections Diagnosis

Go to Step 6

Locate and repair the open in CKT 2114 (LT BLU).

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair a short to ground in CKT 2114 (LT BLU).

Is the repair complete?
