Cause: Excessive electrical noise produced by Steering Wheel Position Sensor sets ABS DTC C1288.

Service Calibrations for the EBCM have been released to repair this condition. These calibrations reduce the sensitivity of ABS DTC C1288 without replacement of the EBCM. These Service Calibrations are currently available on CD ROM, and are downloaded into the EBCM similar to PCM reprogramming. Note 2: If DTC C1287 set along with C1288, use published service manual diagnostics, as these service calibrations do not change C1287 diagnostics.
