Generator Bracket Replacement First Design

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

  2. Object Number: 368807  Size: SH
  3. Rotate the drive belt tensioner counter clockwise.
  4. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement .

  5. Object Number: 368804  Size: SH
  6. Remove the drive belt tensioner bolt.
  7. Remove the drive belt tensioner.
  8. Remove the drive belt idler pulley bolt.
  9. Remove the drive belt idler pulley.

  10. Object Number: 192685  Size: SH
  11. Remove the generator bracket bolts (1-3).
  12. Remove the generator bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 192685  Size: SH
  1. Install the generator bracket.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the generator bracket bolts (1-3).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts in sequence (1,2,3) to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the drive belt tensioner.
  6. Install the drive belt tensioner bolt.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  8. Install the drive belt idler pulley.
  9. Install the drive belt idler pulley bolt.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  11. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement .
  12. Rotate the drive belt tensioner counter clockwise.
  13. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

Generator Bracket Replacement Second Design

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

  2. Object Number: 368807  Size: SH
  3. Rotate the drive belt tensioner counter clockwise.
  4. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement .

  5. Object Number: 368804  Size: SH
  6. Remove the drive belt tensioner bolt.
  7. Remove the drive belt tensioner.
  8. Remove the drive belt idler pulley bolt.
  9. Remove the drive belt idler pulley.

  10. Object Number: 905258  Size: SH
  11. Remove the generator bracket bolts.
  12. Remove the generator bracket.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the generator bracket.
