Removal Procedure

Notice: In order to avoid oil pan damage and possible engine failure, insert a block of wood that spans the width of the oil pan bottom between the oil pan and the jack support.


    Object Number: 789908  Size: SH
  1. Support the engine at the oil pan with a floor jack and a block of wood .
  2. Remove and position cruise control module aside.

  3. Object Number: 63031  Size: SH
  4. Remove the engine mount to engine mount bracket bolts.

  5. Object Number: 63029  Size: SH
  6. Remove the engine mount to body nuts.
  7. Remove the engine mount.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the engine mount to the vahicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the engine mount to body nuts.

  4. Object Number: 63031  Size: SH
  5. Install the engine mount to engine mount bracket bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 66 N·m (49 lb ft).

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 130 N·m (96 lb ft).

  7. Install the cruise control module to bracket.

  9. Remove the floor jack.
