Tail Lamp Assembly and /or Backup, Sidemarker, Stop, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement Pontiac

1. Pull back the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.



2. Remove the tail lamp thumb nuts from the tail lamp.



3. Remove the tail lamp from the rear body panel.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the tail lamp.



5. Release the tabs to remove the circuit board from the tail lamp.
6. Remove the required bulbs from the sockets, if replacing bulbs.

1. Install the required bulbs to the sockets, if replacing bulbs.
2. Install the circuit board to the tail lamp, pressing into place until the retainers are fully seated.



3. Connect the electrical connector to the tail lamp.



4. Position the tail lamp to the rear body panel.
5. Install the tail lamp thumb nuts, and hand tighten.
6. Fold the rear compartment trim to the original position. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.

Tail Lamp Assembly and /or Backup, Sidemarker, Stop, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement Oldsmobile

1. Pull back the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
2. Remove the tail lamp thumb nuts.
3. Remove the tail lamp from the rear body panel.



4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the tail lamp.
5. Remove the tail lamp from the vehicle.



6. Disconnect the electrical connector retainer from the tail lamp housing, if required.
7. Remove the bulb/socket from the tail lamp by rotating counterclockwise, if required.
8. Remove the bulbs from the sockets , if required.

1. Install the bulbs to the sockets , if required.
2. Install the bulb/sockets to the tail lamp by rotating clockwise, if required.
3. Connect the electrical connector retainer to the tail lamp housing, if required.



4. Connect the electrical connector to the tail lamp.



5. Install the tail lamp to the rear body panel.
6. Install the tail lamp thumb nuts, and hand tighten.
7. Pull back the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
