Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Remove the front door speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Lower Speaker Replacement in Entertainment.
  4. Remove the front door inside handle bezel. Refer to Door Handle Bezel Replacement .
  5. Remove the front door rear view mirror. Refer to Remote Mirror Replacement .
  6. Remove the front door outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement
  7. Remove the front door inside door handle. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  8. Remove the front door window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  9. Remove the front door rubber conduit. Refer to Front Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  10. Remove the front door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  11. Remove the front door lock. Refer to Door Lock Replacement .
  12. Remove the wiring harness from the front door.
  13. Remove the front door check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement .
  14. Support the front door.

  16. Remove the intermediate hinge bolts.
  17. Lift the door assembly upward and outward in order to separate the hinge.
  18. Mark the location and remove the hinge from the door. Refer to Front Side Door Hinge Replacement .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hinge to the door. Refer to Front Side Door Hinge Replacement .
  2. Align the two sections of the upper and lower hinges in order to install the intermediate hinge bolts.

  3. Object Number: 595413  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the intermediate hinge bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the door imtermediate hinge bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  6. Remove the support from the front door.
  7. Install the wiring harness to the front door.
  8. Install the front door check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement .
  9. Install the front door rear view mirror. Refer to Remote Mirror Replacement .
  10. Install the front door outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  11. Install the front door inside door handle. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  12. Install the front door window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  13. Install the front door rubber conduit. Refer to Front Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  14. Install the front door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  15. Install the front door lock. Refer to Door Lock Replacement .
  16. Adjust the door for proper alignment, if necessary.
  17. Install the wiring harness from the front door.
  18. Install the front door speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Lower Speaker Replacement in Entertainment.
  19. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  20. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  21. Carefully close the front door.
  22. Inspect the front door for proper alignment.
