For 1990-2009 cars only
- Operate the seat recliner assembly lever.
- Apply force rearward in order to adjust the seat back into the fully reclined position.
- Inspect for ease of lever operation and seat back movement.
- Release the recliner lever.
- Leave the seat back fully reclined.
- Operate the recliner lever in order to position the seat back forward to an intermediate reclined position.
- Release the recliner lever.
- Apply manual force to the upper seat back in the rearward direction in order to inspect for positive recliner locking action.
- Operate the recliner mechanism lever in order to adjust the seat back to a normal position.
- Inspect the ease of lever operation and seat back full return.
- Release the recliner lever.
- Apply manual force to the upper seat back in the rearward direction in order to inspect for positive recliner locking action. Ensure that the release lever returns to the normal position without any assistance from the operator.
