Cruise Control Cable Adjustment 2.4L

1. Remove the push-in retainers from the cruise control cable cover.
2. Remove the cruise control cable cover from the throttle body control bracket.
3. Verify that the throttle body is at the closed position in order to adjust the cable.
4. Adjust the thumb screw in order to remove any slack in the cruise control cable.
5. Verify that the throttle body cam returns to the closed position.
6. Install the cruise control cable cover to the throttle body control bracket.
7. Install the push-in retainers to the cruise control cable cover.

Cruise Control Cable Adjustment 3.4L

1. Disengage the adjustment lock tab (4) on the cruise control cable.
2. Lift straight up on the cable.
3. The cable will move freely in and out of the adjuster when the lock is disengaged.
4. Verify that the throttle body is at the closed position (2).
5. Remove any slack in the cruise control cable by moving the cable into or out of the adjuster.
6. The cruise control throttle body cam (6) will rest against the throttle lever when the cable is properly adjusted.

Important: Do not remove the adjustment lock tab from the cable. If the adjustment lock tab becomes separated from the cruise control cable, replace the cable.

7. Push down, in order to engage the adjustment lock tab (4).
8. Verify that the throttle body cam returns to the closed position.
