Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 329503  Size: SH
  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Remove the nuts from the high mounted stop lamp.
  3. Depress the retainers on each end of the high mounted stop lamp housing.
  4. Remove the high mounted stop lamp from the rear compartment lid.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the high mounted stop lamp.

  7. Remove the lens from the high mounted stop lamp housing by pushing up on the lens with your thumbs to release the retainers, if required.

  8. Object Number: 737333  Size: SH
  9. Remove the bulb(s) from the socket(s), if required.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the bulb(s) to the socket(s), if required.

  2. Object Number: 737328  Size: SH
  3. Install the lens to the high mounted stop lamp housing by aligning the tabs on the lens to the housing and press into place until fully seated, if required.

  4. Object Number: 329503  Size: SH
  5. Connect the electrical connector to the high mounted stop lamp.
  6. Install the high mounted stop lamp to the rear compartment lid, pressing into place until the retainers hold the housing.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Important: Inspect the gasket to the lens for proper fit while tightening the nuts.

  8. Install the nuts to the high mounted stop lamp.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the high mounted stop lamp nuts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  10. Close the rear compartment.
