Rear License Plate Lamp Replacement Pontiac

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 276667  Size: SH
  1. Remove the screws from the license lamp.
  2. Remove the license lamp from the rear bumper fascia.
  3. Remove the bulb/socket from the license lamp by rotating it counterclockwise.
  4. Remove the bulb from the socket, if required.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 276667  Size: SH
  1. Install the bulb to the socket, if required.
  2. Install the bulb/socket to the license lamp.
  3. Rotate the bulb/socket clockwise to secure it to the license plate lamp.
  4. Install the license lamp to the rear bumper fascia.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the license lamp screws to the license lamp.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the license lamp screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the screws from the license lamp.
  2. Remove the license lamp from the rear compartment lid.
  3. Remove the bulb/socket from the license lamp by rotating counterclockwise.

  4. Object Number: 741330  Size: SH
  5. Remove the license lamp bulb from the socket, if required.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the license lamp bulb to the socket, if required.

  2. Object Number: 741329  Size: SH
  3. Install the license lamp socket to the license lamp, by rotating clockwise.
  4. Install the license lamp to the rear compartment lid.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application.
