Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the shift cables from the shifter assembly. Refer to Shift Cables .

    3. Object Number: 623622 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the shift interlock cable.

    4. Object Number: 623623 Size: SH
  4. Remove the 2 front mounting bolts.

    5. Object Number: 623626 Size: SH
  5. Remove the 2 rear mounting bolts and the shifter.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 623623 Size: SH
  1. Position the shifter on the studs and install the front 2 nuts.

    2. Object Number: 623626 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the 2 rear bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the shift cables. Refer to Shift Cables .
  4. Install the console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
