J 37868 Camshaft Oil Gallery Plug Installer

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
2. Remove the camshaft housings. Refer to Intake Camshaft, Housing and Lifter Replacement and Exhaust Camshaft, Housing and Lifter Replacement .



3. Disassemble the oil gallery plug as follows:

3.1.	Using a 8.33 mm (21/64 in) bit, drill the oil gallery plug.

3.2.	With a 10.0 mm (0.3937 in) bottoming tap, thread the plug.

3.3.	Install a 10.0 mm (0.3937 in) bolt into the plug and pull the plug out.

4. Clean the oil gallery plug hole.

1. Assemble the oil gallery plug with the J 37868 .
2. Install the camshaft housings. Refer to Intake Camshaft, Housing and Lifter Replacement and Exhaust Camshaft, Housing and Lifter Replacement .
3. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
