Removal Procedure

    Caution: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.

  1. Raise the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 10865  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the vent solenoid electrical connector.

  4. Object Number: 10866  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the vacuum hose.

  6. Object Number: 10867  Size: SH
  7. Bend back the tang on the bracket.

  8. Object Number: 10868  Size: SH
  9. Remove the vent solenoid.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 10868  Size: SH
  1. Slide the vent solenoid onto the bracket.

  2. Object Number: 10866  Size: SH
  3. Connect the vacuum hose

  4. Object Number: 10865  Size: SH
  5. Install the electrical connector.
  6.   7. Lower the vehicle.
