The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
After replacement of an OnStar® VCIM on any 2009 MY vehicle the technician may find they cannot perform the module setup (SPS) through TIS2WEB. They may also find no VCIM setup in the TECH2.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The software calibration for the VCIM is currently not loaded in TIS2WEB for most 2009 MY vehicles. This calibration is expected to be loaded by mid August 2008.
If after a VCIM is replaced the calibration is not available in TIS2WEB, dealers are to contact TECHLINE for assistance with this issue.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
