- Disconnect the connector at the engine oil pressure gauge sensor.
- Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
- Connect one red lead of a J 33431-C
at terminal A of the engine oil pressure gauge sensor
connector.
- Connect the other lead to ground.
- Adjust the tester to 0 ohm. The test oil pressure gauge
should indicate 0 kPa (0 psi).
- Adjust the tester to 88 ohms. The test oil pressure gauge
should indicate 550 kPa (80 psi).
Does the test oil pressure gauge indicate the correct values?

- Disconnect the 17 way IP harness connector at the instrument cluster.
- Connect a fused jumper wire between the B+ and terminal 11
of the instrument cluster connector C3.
- Connect a fused jumper wire between terminal 15 of the
instrument cluster connector C3 for CKT 22 (BLK) and ground.
- Connect one red lead of a J 33431-C
at terminal 11 of the instrument cluster connector C3.
- Connect the other lead to ground.
- Adjust the tester to 0 ohm. The oil pressure gauge should
indicate 0 kPa (0 psi).
- Adjust the tester to 88 ohms.
Does the oil pressure meet the specified value?

- Locate the high resistance in CKT 7, CKT 211 or
CKT 383 (TAN/WHT) or CKT 331 (TAN/WHT).
- Repair the high resistance.
