Preliminary Procedures

1. Open the sunshade to the full open position.
2. Open the sunroof window to the full open position.

Sunroof Switch

Tip

1. Using a suitable tool, work the sunroof switch loose from the sunroof front trim cover.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Sunroof Front Trim Cover

Tip

1. Pull straight down working the sunroof trim cover and shade loose from the clips.
2. The sunroof front trim cover is attached by clips to the lower frame.
3. The sunshade is not service separated from the sunroof front trim cover.
4. When reinstalling, open the sunroof window to the full open position, start at the rear aligning the two stansions in the center rear portion of the trim cover to the center lower frame retaining bolts. With trim cover angled approximately 45°, carefully begin to raise the cover up until the two rear retaining clip into place. (A clicking sound can be heard when they have engaged.
5. Continue to raise the trim cover from the angled position until the four side retaining clip into place as in step 4.
6. Ensure the front section of the trim cover is completely seats into the lower motor bracket.
7. Align trim cover to the lower motor bracket and apply even pressure until fully seated.
