Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 778051  Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the electronic brake control module (EBCM) from the vehicle. Refer to Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement .
  3. Important: In the following service procedures, insert rubber plugs or caps on the exposed brake pipe fittings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

  4. Remove the left front brake pipe.

  5. Object Number: 778058  Size: SH
  6. Remove the right front brake pipe.

  7. Object Number: 778046  Size: SH
  8. Remove the rear brake pipe.

  9. Object Number: 778043  Size: SH
  10. Remove the master cylinder brake pipes from the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 778043  Size: SH
  1. Install the master cylinder brake pipes to the BPMV.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the brake pipe fitting 25 N·m (18 lb ft).


    Object Number: 778046  Size: SH
  3. Install the rear brake pipe.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).


    Object Number: 778058  Size: SH
  5. Install the right front brake pipe.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).


    Object Number: 778051  Size: SH
  7. Install the left front brake pipe.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  9. Install the EBCM. Refer to Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement .
  10. Bleed the antilock brake system. Refer to Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed Procedure .
