Caution: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution in the Preface section.

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the electronic brake control module (EBCM) from the vehicle. Refer to Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement .

Important: In the following service procedures, insert rubber plugs or caps on the exposed brake pipe fittings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

3. Remove the left front brake pipe.



4. Remove the right front brake pipe.



5. Remove the rear brake pipe.



6. Remove the master cylinder brake pipes from the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




1. Install the master cylinder brake pipes to the BPMV.

Tighten
Tighten the brake pipe fitting 25 N·m (18 lb ft).




2. Install the rear brake pipe.

Tighten
Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).




3. Install the right front brake pipe.

Tighten
Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).




4. Install the left front brake pipe.

Tighten
Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

5. Install the EBCM. Refer to Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement .
6. Bleed the antilock brake system. Refer to Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed Procedure .
