Temperature Valve Actuator Replacement - Left Side LHD

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the left closeout panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 1958722 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the left air temperature actuator electrical connector (1) from the actuator (2).
  3. Remove the left air temperature actuator screws (3).

    4. Object Number: 1958726 Size: SH
  4. Remove the left air temperature actuator (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1958726 Size: SH
  1. Install the left air temperature actuator (1).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1958722 Size: SH
  2. Install the left air temperature actuator to HVAC unit retaining screws (3).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  3. Connect the left air temperature actuator electrical connector (1) to the air temperature actuator (2).
  4. Install the left closeout panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement.

Temperature Valve Actuator Replacement - Left Side RHD

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the I/P lower trim plate assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side.
  2. Remove the I/P compartment assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
  3. Remove left side floor duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side.

    4. Object Number: 1958721 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the passenger air mix mode actuator electrical connector (2).
  5. Remove the passenger air mix mode actuator to HVAC module assembly retaining screws (3).
  6. Remove the passenger air mix actuator (1) from the HVAC module assembly (4).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1958740 Size: SH
  1. Align the actuator drive gear (1) with the door shaft spline (2).

    2. Object Number: 1958721 Size: SH
  2. Install the passenger air mix actuator (1) to the HVAC module assembly (4).

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the passenger air mix actuator to HVAC module assembly retaining screws (3).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (9 lb ft).

  4. Connect the passenger air mix actuator electrical connector (2).
  5. Install left side floor duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side.
  6. Install the I/P compartment assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
  7. Install the I/P lower trim plate assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side.
  8. Perform HVAC system relearn. Refer to HVAC Control Module Programming and Setup.
