Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

    2. Object Number: 1947021 Size: SH
  2. Remove the left instrument panel lower trim plate (1) by pulling the panel down and disengaging the retaining clips.

    3. Object Number: 1947022 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) from the instrument panel compartment lamp switch.
  4. Open the instrument panel compartment.

    5. Object Number: 2004681 Size: SH

    Important: Remove the instrument panel compartment lamp switch (1), by pushing it through the instrument panel compartment.

  5. Remove the instrument panel compartment lamp switch (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2004681 Size: SH
  1. Install the instrument panel compartment lamp switch (1), listen for an audible click to confirm fitting.
  2. Close the instrument panel compartment.

    3. Object Number: 1947022 Size: SH
  3. Connect the electrical connectors (1) to the instrument panel compartment lamp switch.

    4. Object Number: 1947021 Size: SH
  4. Install the left instrument panel lower trim plate (1) by engaging the instrument panel lower trim plate retaining clips.
  5. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  6. Test the operation of the instrument panel compartment lamp switch.
