Fog Lamp Aiming LWB SWB

Aiming Procedure

Important: Use this procedure only when suitable test equipment is unavailable.


    Object Number: 1946938  Size: SH
  1. Set up a screen or use a vertical, with a flat horizontal wall. Park the vehicle immediately in front of the screen or wall and mark the following lines:
  2. • A vertical centre-line (2) that corresponds to the centre of the vehicle.
    • A horizontal line (1) that corresponds to the centre of the front fog lamp bulb.
  3. Turn on the front fog lamps to check whether the marks are correctly positioned.
  4. Reverse the vehicle straight back so the front is five metres in front of the screen or wall, ensuring the centre of the vehicle is aligned with the vertical centre-line mark (3) on the screen.

  6. Turn on the front fog lamps. Aim each front fog lamp with the cut-off line (2) 100 mm (V) below the front fog lamp horizontal centre-line (1).

Adjustment Procedure

  1. Access the fog lamp vertical adjuster (1) through the opening (2) in the front air deflector.
  2. Adjust the fog lamp up or down until 100 mm is reached at the horizontal centre-line.

Aiming Procedure

  1. Set up a screen or use a suitable flat wall. Park the vehicle immediately in front of the screen or wall and mark the following lines:
  2. • A vertical centre-line (3) that corresponds to the centre of the vehicle.
    • Two vertical lines (2 and 4), corresponding to the centre of the driving lamp bulb on each side of the centre line (3).
    • A horizontal line (1) that corresponds to the centre of the driving lamp bulb.
  3. Turn on the driving lamps to check whether the marks are correctly positioned.
  4. Reverse the vehicle straight back so the front is five metres in front of the screen or wall, ensuring the centre of the vehicle is aligned with the vertical centre-line mark (3) on the screen.

  6. Turn on the driving lamps. Aim each driving lamp to a point (3) on its vertical centre-line (2 and 4), with the cut-off line (5) 100 mm (A) below the driving lamp horizontal centre-line (1).

  1. Access the driving lamp vertical adjuster through the opening (1) in the front bumper facia.
  2. Adjust the driving lamp up or down until the correct aiming is achieved.

  2. Adjust the fog lamp up or down until the correct aiming is achieved.
