    Notice: When adding fluid or making a complete fluid change, always use the proper power steering fluid. Failure to use the proper fluid will cause hose and seal damage and fluid leaks.

    Important: When checking the fluid level after servicing the steering system, bleed the air from the system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .

  1. Remove the engine dress cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement , or Engine Cover Replacement
  2. Clean the area surrounding the power steering fluid reservoir cap and level indicators.

  3. Object Number: 1957005  Size: SH
  4. Make sure that the fluid level is at the correct level mark on the power steering fluid reservoir.
  5. • If fluid is hot, the fluid level should be at the MAX level mark on the reservoir.
    • If fluid is cold, the fluid level should be at the MIN level mark on the reservoir.
  6. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir cap.
  7. Important: Use approved new power steering fluid from a sealed container. For fluid specifications refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations .

  8. Add power steering fluid as required, until the correct fluid level is obtained.
  9. Install the power steering fluid reservoir cap.
