Rear Bumper Fascia Outer Support Replacement CSV SWBHSV VXR8

Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.




Important: The rear bumper fascia outer support retaining rivets are single use parts. They must be discarded after removal.

3. Drill out the rear bumper fascia outer support retaining rivets (1).

Discard the rivets.

4. Drill out the inner rear fascia outer support retaining rivet (3) from inside the rear compartment.

Discard the rivet.

5. Remove the rear bumper fascia outer support (2) from the vehicle.

1. Position the rear bumper fascia outer support (2) to the vehicle.
2. Install NEW rear bumper fascia outer support retaining rivets (1).
3. Install the NEW inner rear fascia outer support retaining rivet (3) from inside the rear compartment.
4. Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.
5. Lower the vehicle.

Important: The rear bumper fascia outer support retaining rivets are signal use parts. They must be discarded after removal.

3. Drill out the rear bumper fascia guide rail retaining rivets (2).

Discard the rivets.

4. Remove the rear bumper fascia guide rail (1) from the vehicle.

1. Position the rear bumper fascia guide rail (1) to the vehicle.



2. Install NEW rear bumper fascia outer support retaining rivets (2).
3. Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.
4. Lower the vehicle.
