DTC Descriptor

DTC C0558 00: Calibration Data Not Programmed

Diagnostic Fault Information

Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle prior to using this diagnostic procedure.

Circuit/System Description

The electronic brake control module (EBCM) must be calibrated/programmed or has an internal fault and requires replacement.

Conditions for Running the DTC

    • The ignition is ON.
    • Ignition voltage is between 9 and 16 volts.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The EBCM has not been calibrated or has an internal fault.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

    • The EBCM disables the ABS and the TCS for the duration of the ignition cycle
    • The ABS fault indicator on the driver information centre (DIC) is activated.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    • The condition responsible for setting the DTC no longer exists.
    • The EBCM automatically clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles.
    • The DTC can be cleared using a scan tool.

Circuit/System Testing

  1. Verify that no other DTCs are not set.
  2. If any other DTCs are set, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
  3. Calibrate/programme the EBCM.
  4. Ignition ON, using the scan tool view the current DTCs.
  5. If DTC  C0558 is set to current replace EBCM.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
