Removal Procedure

    Important: If vehicle is equipped with side curtain air bags. Refer to SIR Caution .

  1. Remove the defroster grille. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement .
  2. Partially detach the weatherstrip. Refer to Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1939849 Size: SH
  3. Unclip the retaining torx screw cover (1) from the windshield garnish moulding (2).
  4. Remove the retaining torx screw (3) from the windshield garnish moulding (2).
  5. Carefully disengage the windshield garnish moulding (2) from the A pillar body panel.
  6. Remove the windshield garnish moulding (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1939849 Size: SH
  1. Install the windshield garnish moulding (2) ensuring the bottom edge is correctly located in the Instrument panel trim.
  2. Engage the windshield garnish moulding (2) to the A-pillar body panel.

    3. Important:  Make sure the Roof Rail Module tether is routed below the screw attachment clip and pin feature on the windshield garnish moulding when replacing this garnish. Roof Rail Air Bag deployment maybe inhibited if incorrectly installed.

  3. Install the windshield garnish moulding (2) retaining torx screw (3).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the retaining torx screw to 2.0  N·m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the retaining torx screw cover (1).
  5. Attach the weatherstrip. Refer to Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement .
  6. Install the defroster grille. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement .
