Removal Procedure

    Important:  When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  1. Install a suitable hood brace to the vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 1943440 Size: SH
  2. Remove the front hood moulding to hood retaining screws (2).
  3. Remove the front hood moulding (1) from the hood.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1943440 Size: SH
  1. Position the front hood moulding (1) to the hood.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the front hood moulding to hood retaining screws (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  3. Remove the suitable hood brace from the vehicle.
  4. Close the hood.
