Hood Ornament Replacement LHD

Important: Protect the paint and body work with tape or a clean cloth. Failure to do so may result in damage to the paint work.





Important: The hood ornament has a locating pin. Avoid damage to the locating pin when removing the hood ornament.

Important: Take care not to damage the paint work when prying the hood ornament from the hood.

1. Remove the insulating foam from the under side of the hood.
2. Remove the hood ornament to hood retaining nut (1).



3. Use a suitable tool to carefully prise the hood ornament (1) from the hood.
4. Remove the hood ornament and clean the surface with a suitable cleaning solution, using a lint free cloth.

1. If reusing the hood ornament , clean the hood ornament with a suitable cleaning solution, using a lint free cloth.



2. Apply the hood ornament (1) in the position shown, make sure that the locating pin (2) is in position.



3. Install the hood ornament to hood retaining nut (1).

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 2 N·m (18 lb ft).

4. Install the insulating foam to the underside of the hood.
