Important: The sunroof actuator is timed at the factory. If there is battery voltage applied to a new sunroof actuator, the pre-timed settings within the sunroof actuator are lost and cannot be reset or used to accommodate proper installation.

There should be no battery voltage applied to a new sunroof actuator until the following conditions are satisfied:

The power sunroof actuator is installed to the sunroof module.

Re-calibration

  1. Install the power sunroof actuator. Refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Replacement.
  2. Ignition ON.
  3. Turn the sunroof dial anti-clockwise to the full tilt position.
  4. Important: The sunroof dial switch must be pressed within two seconds after completion of the initialisation process.

  5. Press and hold the sunroof dial in, the sunroof should step up one step and then step down one step.
  6. Release the dial for one second and then press and continue to hold the dial.
  7. After approximately five seconds the sunroof moves step by step until the hard stop (sunroof fully closed) has been reached, then moves back step by step until the soft stop (sunroof fully open) has been reached.

After the sunroof has been initialised, the teach in of the roof profile has to be performed.

Important: The sunroof dial switch must not be released during the teach in process, failure to do so will result in the teach process to be aborted.

  8. Continue to hold the sunroof dial in for at least three seconds until the teach process is completed.
