    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Inspect the wheel stud holes for damage. If damage is found the wheel must be replaced. Refer to Replacement Wheels Description .
  4. Thoroughly clean the wheel mounting surface.

  5. Object Number: 1997037  Size: SH

    Important: Use a straight edge (1) 150 to 165 mm (6 to 6.5 in) long.

    Important: If you can rock the straight edge (1) the mounting surface (2) is bent and the wheel must be replaced.

    Important: For steel wheels the outer mounting ring (4) is designed to be raised slightly above the inner mounting ring (3).

  6. Place a straight edge (1) across the wheel inboard mounting surface (2) over a wheel stud hole. Attempt to rock the straight edge up and down on the mounting surface.
  7. Repeat Step 5 over every wheel stud hole.
  8. Replace wheels as required. Refer to Replacement Wheels Description and Tire Dismounting and Mounting .
  9. Remove the safety stands.
  10. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
