Seat Does Not Fold Forward or Backward Except HSV Maloo

  1. Visually inspect the EZ-entry lever for correct operation or noticeable damage.
  2. If the EZ-entry lever appears to be noticeably damaged replace the EZ-entry lever. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Latch Release Cable Replacement.
  3. Remove the front seat back cover.
  4. Inspect the EZ-entry system for serviceability, making sure the EZ-entry spring clip and lever arm are correctly secured and functioning correctly.
  5. If the spring clip and lever are disengaged or appear damaged, engage or replace the EZ-entry assembly. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Latch Release Cable Replacement.

Inspect the front seat assembly for correct fitting and or loose components around the dump latch.

Did you find any of these conditions?

  1. Slide the seat all the way forward using the slide adjuster.
  2. Activate the dump latch, grasping the seat back and moving it forward.

Does the seat back release forwards from it's upright position?

Go to Step 8

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Inspect the front seat for damage or debris that may cause the dump latch assembly to fail.

  1. Remove the front seat back. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement .
  2. Inspect the front seat back and frame assembly for damage or debris that may cause the dump latch assembly to fail.

Did you find any of these conditions?

Go to Step 6

  1. Clear the affected area of debris.
  2. Operate the system under various conditions.
