Removal Procedure - Tail Lamp Assembly

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

    2. Object Number: 2009758 Size: SH
  2. Remove the tail lamp access panel to cargo liner retaining clips (1).
  3. Remove the tail lamp access panel (2) from the cargo liner (3).

    4. Object Number: 2009764 Size: SH
  4. Remove the rear tail lamp assembly to vehicle retaining nuts (1).

    5. Object Number: 2009757 Size: SH
  5. Detach the rear tail lamp assembly (2) from the vehicle.
  6. Disconnect the rear tail lamp assembly electrical connector (1).

    7. Object Number: 2009765 Size: SH
  7. Remove the rear tail lamp assembly (1) from the vehicle (2).

Removal Procedure - Backup Lamp Bulb

    Object Number: 2009755 Size: SH

    Important: Remove the backup lamp bulb socket (1) from the rear tail lamp assembly (2) by rotating the backup lamp bulb socket (1) counterclockwise.

  1. Remove the backup lamp bulb socket (1) from the rear tail lamp assembly (2).

    2. Object Number: 2009760 Size: SH

    Important: Remove the backup lamp bulb (2) from the backup lamp bulb socket (1) by pushing and rotating the backup lamp bulb (2) counterclockwise.

  2. Remove the backup lamp bulb (2) from the backup lamp bulb socket (1).

Removal Procedure - Rear Indicator Bulb

    Object Number: 2009756 Size: SH

    Important: Remove the rear indicator lamp bulb socket (1) from the rear tail lamp assembly (2) by rotating the rear indicator lamp bulb socket (1) counterclockwise.

  1. Remove the rear indicator lamp bulb socket (1) from the rear tail lamp assembly (2).

    2. Object Number: 2009760 Size: SH

    Important: Remove the rear indicator lamp bulb (2) from the rear indicator lamp bulb socket (1) by pushing and rotating the rear indicator lamp bulb (2) counterclockwise.

  2. Remove the rear indicator lamp bulb (2) from the rear indicator lamp bulb socket (1).

Removal Procedure - Stop/Tail Lamp Bulb

    Object Number: 2009754 Size: SH

    Important: Remove the stop/tail lamp bulb socket (1) from the rear tail lamp assembly (2) by rotating the stop/tail lamp bulb socket (1) counterclockwise.

  1. Remove the stop/tail lamp bulb socket (1) from the rear tail lamp assembly (2).

    2. Object Number: 2009760 Size: SH

    Important: Remove the stop/tail lamp bulb (2) from the stop/tail lamp bulb socket (1) by pushing and rotating the stop/tail lamp bulb (2) counterclockwise.

  2. Remove the stop/tail lamp bulb (2) from the stop/tail lamp bulb socket (1).

Installation Procedure - Backup Lamp Bulb

    Object Number: 2009759 Size: SH

    Important: Install the backup lamp bulb (2) to the backup lamp bulb socket (1) by pushing and rotating the backup lamp bulb (2) clockwise.

  1. Install the backup lamp bulb (2) to the backup lamp bulb socket (1).

    2. Object Number: 2009761 Size: SH

    Important: The different-sized tabs on the backup lamp bulb socket (1) and mating cut-outs in the rear tail lamp assembly (2) allow the backup lamp bulb socket (1) to seat correctly.

    Important: Install the backup lamp bulb socket (1) to the rear tail lamp assembly (2) by rotating the backup lamp bulb socket (1) clockwise.

  2. Install the backup lamp bulb socket (1) to the rear tail lamp assembly (2).

Installation Procedure - Rear Indicator Lamp Bulb

    Object Number: 2009759 Size: SH

    Important: Install the rear indicator lamp bulb (2) to the rear indicator lamp bulb socket (1) by pushing and rotating the rear indicator lamp bulb (2) clockwise.

  1. Install the rear indicator lamp bulb (2) to the rear indicator lamp bulb socket (1).

    2. Object Number: 2009762 Size: SH

    Important: The different-sized tabs on the rear indicator lamp bulb socket (1) and mating cut-outs in the rear tail lamp assembly (2) allow the rear indicator lamp bulb socket (1) to seat correctly.

    Important: Install the rear indicator lamp bulb socket (1) to the rear tail lamp assembly (2) by rotating the rear indicator lamp bulb socket (1) clockwise.

  2. Install the rear indicator lamp bulb socket (1) to the rear tail lamp assembly (2).

Installation Procedure - Stop/Tail Lamp Bulb

    Object Number: 2009759 Size: SH

    Important: Install the stop/tail lamp bulb (2) to the stop/tail lamp bulb socket (1) by pushing and rotating the stop/tail lamp bulb (2) clockwise.

  1. Install the stop/tail lamp bulb (2) to the stop/tail lamp bulb socket (1).

    2. Object Number: 2009763 Size: SH

    Important: The different-sized tabs on the stop/tail lamp bulb socket (1) and mating cut-outs in the rear tail lamp assembly (2) allow the stop/tail lamp bulb socket (1) to seat correctly.

    Important: Install the stop/tail lamp bulb socket (1) to the rear tail lamp assembly (2) by rotating the stop/tail lamp bulb socket (1) clockwise.

  2. Install the stop/tail lamp bulb socket (1) to the rear tail lamp assembly (2).

Installation Procedure - Tail Lamp Assembly

    Object Number: 2009757 Size: SH
  1. Connect the rear tail lamp assembly electrical connector (1).

    2. Object Number: 2009765 Size: SH
  2. Install the rear tail lamp assembly (1) to the vehicle (2).

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2009764 Size: SH
  3. Install the rear tail lamp assembly to vehicle retaining nuts (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 4  N·m (35 lb in).

  4. Install the tail lamp access panel (2) to the cargo liner (3).
  5. Fit the retaining clips (1) to the tail lamp access panel.
  6. Install the tail lamp service access panel to the tub liner.
  7. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
