Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 208436 Size: SH
  1. Lift the fluid level indicator handle lock up.

    2. Object Number: 208423 Size: SH
  2. Remove the fluid level indicator.

    3. Object Number: 208459 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolt attaching the fill tube to the cylinder head.

    4. Object Number: 165576 Size: SH
  4. Remove the fill tube and seal from the transmission.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 165576 Size: SH
  1. Insert the seal into the automatic transmission case hole.
  2. Install the fill tube to the transmission.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 208459 Size: SH
  3. Install the transmission bolt attaching the fill tube to the cylinder head.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the fill tube bolt to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  4. Check the transmission fluid level.
  5. Fill the transmission to the proper level with DEXRON® VI transmission fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check.

  6. Push the fluid level indicator handle lock down.
