Transmission Support Replacement Except 5L40 and 6L50

Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1943730 Size: SH
  3. Remove the transmission support to transmission mount retaining nuts.
  4. Support the transmission with a suitable supporting stand.

    5. Object Number: 1943732 Size: SH
  5. Remove the transmission support to lower sub frame rail retaining bolts.
  6. Remove the transmission support from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1943732 Size: SH
  1. Install the transmission support to the vehicle.
  2. Install the transmission support to lower sub frame rail retaining bolts.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1943732 Size: SH
  3. Tighten the transmission support to under body retaining bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 55 N·m (41 lb ft).

  4. Remove the suitable supporting stand from the transmission.

    5. Object Number: 1943730 Size: SH
  5. Install the transmission support to transmission mount retaining nuts.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement.
  7. Lower the vehicle.

Transmission Support Replacement 5L40 and 6L50

Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1943730 Size: SH
  3. Remove the transmission support to transmission mount retaining nuts.
  4. Support the transmission with a suitable supporting stand.

    5. Object Number: 1943732 Size: SH
  5. Remove the transmission support to lower sub frame rail retaining bolts.
  6. Remove the transmission support from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1943732 Size: SH
  1. Install the transmission support to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the transmission support to lower sub frame rail retaining bolts (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 55 N·m (41 lb ft).

  3. Remove the suitable supporting stand from the transmission.

    4. Object Number: 1943730 Size: SH
  4. Install the transmission support to transmission mount retaining nuts (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 58 N·m (43 lb ft).

  5. Install the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
