Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1863925 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor 2 connector.
  3. Disconnect the diesel particulate filter (DPF) pressure hoses.
  4. Remove the DPF assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1863925 Size: SH

    Important: If replacing the DPF with a new one, reset the DPF EEPROM values using a scan tool.

  1. Install the DPF assembly.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the DPF retaining nuts to 30 N·m (22.1 lb ft).

  2. Connect the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor 2 connector.
  3. Connect the negative battery cable.
