SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE SEC. 6E IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT

Subject: IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT

Model and Year: 1993 GEO TRACKER

The information contained in this bulletin amends steps 5 and 6 on page 6E2-C2-9 under "Idle Speed Adjustment" found in Driveability and Emissions 1.6L engine RPO LS5 (VIN U) (Section 6E2-C2) of the 199 Geo Tracker Service Manual (ST377-93).

5. Adjust idle speed and/or IAC duty (ISC duty) as necessary. Correct idle speed by turning the idle speed adjusting screw "IN" to decrease or "OUT" to increase idle speed. Correct IAC duty (ISC duty) by turning the idle speed adjusting screw "IN" to increase or "OUT" to decrease IAC duty (ISC duty).

6. Turn A/C switch and blower speed selector switch ON. Check that the specified idle speed is obtained. If not, check A/C ON signal circuit and idle air control valve.
