Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 158473 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector.
  2. Disconnect the vacuum hose and clamp from the MAP sensor.
  3. Remove the MAP filter (1) from the vacuum hoses.
  4. Disconnect the one bolt and the MAP sensor and bracket from the bulkhead.
  5. Remove the MAP sensor from the MAP sensor bracket.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the MAP sensor to the MAP sensor bracket.

    2. Object Number: 158473 Size: SH
  2. Install the MAP sensor and bracket to the bulkhead.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Secure the MAP sensor bracket to the bulkhead with the one bolt.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the MAP sensor bracket bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the MAP filter (1) to the vacuum hoses.
  5. Connect the vacuum hose to MAP sensor and secure with one clamp.
  6. Connect the MAP sensor electrical connector.
