Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the driver side windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the driver side sunshade. Refer to Sunshade Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Lower the corner of the roof panel in order to expose the antenna base and the electrical connections.

  4. Object Number: 718021  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the pigtail electrical connections to the antenna base.

  6. Object Number: 800718  Size: SH
  7. Loosen the retainer nut on the antenna base.
  8. Remove the antenna base.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 800718  Size: SH
  1. Install the antenna base to the roof panel and route the pigtail leads through the hole in the roof panel.

  2. Object Number: 718021  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Align the base with the anti-rotation pin and tighten the retainer nut to the antenna base.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical leads to the antenna base.
  6. Secure the roof panel by attaching the sunshade.
  7. Install the driver side sunshade. Refer to Sunshade Replacement in Interior Trim.
  8. Attach the driver side windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
