The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The radio may display "XM error" and a possible U1137 DTC stored in the radio. The concern is due to the radio losing communication with the digital radio receiver while the key is on. The message is only displayed on the radio during the effected key cycle.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Perform diagnostics for the loss of communication with the Digital radio receiver (DRR).
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
